Welcome to the Postcard Swap with a Twist! You’ll be swapping with one partner — but you won’t know your exact category until you’ve both been matched. Let’s get started!

🔢 Step 1: Sign Up by joining the swap.
THEN, In the discussion section, add what Category you want your partner to send to you. (The category you pick is not what you will be sending - only what you will be receiving).

🧩 Step 2: Mystery Categories There are 5 total categories. You won't know which category you're sending until partners are assigned and all final choices are locked in.

You will receive a postcard from your assigned partner based on the category you selected. These are broad, general categories, so the interpretation is up to the sender. However, the front of the postcard must visually reflect the category in some way—simply writing about it on the back is not enough and does not meet the swap requirements. Be sure the postcard itself aligns with the chosen theme!

👯 Step 3: Partner Match Once the sign-up deadline passes, you'll be matched with one partner.

🖊️ Step 4: Write & Send Once your partner is assigned - you will know your category by checking the category below which is assigned to your partner's username - you will be receiving from your partner what you have chosen as a category:

Choose a new postcard that fits your partner;s category. (this is why you need to have a postcard from each category to be able to participate in this swap - but you'll only be sending 1 postcard). Postcard must be sent naked and stamped - no envelope.

WRITE YOUR USERNAME AND THE NAME OF THE SWAP AND THE CATEGORY YOU ARE SENDING ON YOUR POSTCARD

Mail it to your partner by the swap deadline!
