Hi, I'm Sigrid and live in northern Michigan in a small town of 700 people surrounded by farmland and woods. We have a post office, a gas station, 2 family-owned restaurants, an ice cream store, a small hardware store, 2 churches, and a Dollar General. It's a clean, friendly town where people wave at each other in passing. Neighbors alert each other to the occasional trespassing of bears, cougars, skunks, coyotes, and possums.
I'm a Christian who loves Jesus, and wish that everyone would turn to him because he's good, and wise and helps me so much in so many ways. I love serving him as He teaches me of himself, who he is, and I want to be like him. One day, I will see him as he truly is and be like him in every way, without sin, weakness, or fault. I hope on that day!
In early summer I enjoy walking around my property collecting wild flowers and pretty leaves. I press them and insert them in my Bible, or add them to my craft projects, and have even made greeting cards of them.
I volunteer at a Hospitality House connected with the hospital. I serve home-cooked meals about twice a month to 20-25 people, and Iove it. I also volunteer in my church's nursery.
My all-time favorite movie is "Shadrack", a true story that happened in the South. I have seen it several times and don't get tired of it.
I am currently re-reading an 800-page book called "The Footsteps of the Messiah" by Dr. Arnold Fruchtenbaum. First time around I couldn't get enough of it and read until my eyes went buggy -- it was that good.
My favorite hobby is crafting in vintage French Shabby Chic. It's dainty and feminine with flowing fabrics, laces, delicate flowers, and some fo my favorite things to make are: Personal Journals, Snippet Strips, Tags, Cards, Pockets and folders. Basically, papercrafts and accompanying features and embellishments.
I collect Ephemera, Sari silk ribbons, antique fabric and laces, beaded lace, handmade lace, coffee or tea stained papers, fussy cut flowers, old die cuts, and I prefer feminine colors, usually pastels.
Swapping with you is very important to me. I send within the timeframe allowed, sometimes much sooner. I normally rate your swap the day I receive it, or the day after. You deserve to know that the effort you put into your swap was received.
If either of us are not able to complete a swap, or will be late with one, let's reach out and let each other know what to expect. I'm easy going and understand that sometimes life happens -- I hope you do too.
Dislikes/Do Not Send: Halloween-related, astrology-related, occult-related, or things that are of the like, and the nature of these.
