Hi! I'm Laurel, a 40 y/o living in Calgary, AB Canada. I'm married and mother of one very energetic 6 year old boy.

I'm an avid gardener, love reading (mostly fantasy and sci-fi), all kinds of crafts and woodworking. We have a puppy named Penny and a ton of houseplants!

I consider myself a creative person, I enjoy spending time in nature and drinking coffee or tea.

• I participate in the PopSugar reading challenge every year as I'm hoping to broaden my reading genres.
• I have a huge garden, as well as a green house, and grow primarily vegetables and flowers. I love to grow unusual varieties.
• My favourite colour is pink, second is teal.
• I've built four Little Free Libraries; one for our old house, one for our new house, one for a playground and one for my mom's house.
• I like to crochet
• My favourite foods are watermelon, dim sum and chocolate

I love working with paper to make cards, bookmarks, interactive toys, etc. I like to combine graphic design with papercraft to make unique items.

I also like making items from garden objects like gourds, dried flowers, seeds, grasses, pinecones, etc.

I have a small space setup in our garage for woodworking, I have designed and built four little free libraries, all my raised beds, flower planters, a table, dog treat box, some routed signs for our home and garden, a huge squash arch. I tend to make practical wood items more than decorative but I do hope to learn more about woodworking. I've taken a few classes but still consider myself a beginner.

Honestly I'd love anything you send me, but if you want specific ideas:

• I love things I can put in my little free library to share with the community. Stuff like books, bookmarks (handmade or bought are great), reading buddies (stuffed animals kids read to), stickers. Or decor for my library such as window clings, outdoor lights, hanging ornaments, etc.
• Teas or coffee
• Stationary and items for paper crafting
• Craft supplies (yarn, stamps, washi tape, stickers, etc)
• Puzzles, games, word searches, etc.
